“Everything seems easy.”

It’s a fact. Until you look at the mirror, it’s not anymore. You see yourself. It’s you. But look closer, look at those eyes — look deeper and you’ll see. There are grains and some bits are missing. The longer you stare, the more it fades. Why? Perhaps when we look at ourselves, we often miss some things. Not because we cannot see it, but because we choose to ignore it. Well, once we see it, it’s hard to unsee.
How saddening it is, to be alienated by our own reflection and to feel violated by our own stares.
But it’s partly good. Because now you see yourself honestly and that’s a nod.
